Conspiracy theory - Steven King and horror authors.
This post is going to be a little different. The following post will be very tinfoil-y and developed in my brain due to a combination of watching too many conspiracy theory videos and a healthy (or unhealthy) imagination. It's not meant to be true by any means, just a writing exercise that spiraled out of control. What I’m saying is that the following post is complete work of fiction. So wrap that foil around you noggin like a baked potato and enjoy. You have been warned…
I was browsing through book releases as I do sometimes and Came across a new Steven King release. I didn’t think anything of it at first the as it seems like he is always putting out something new. As the Evening progressed I was curious so I did a quick search on “how many books has Steven King published”. According to everybody’s favorite online free encyclopedia (Wikipedia), he has published over 63 novels and over 200 shot stories. A good chunk of them are set in Maine. This makes sense as he is from Maine and its usually easier to create a setting somewhere that is familiar. These facts are interesting enough but they don’t really have much to do with the real question that was rattling around in my head. That question is…
Why does Steven King put out so many books?
Well, I’ll tell you why. The reason is so simple. I don’t know how no one has noticed before! You see, what Steven King is doing is protecting the state of Maine and, by extension, the world. I bet you think I’m crazy, but hear me out.
All those supernatural things that happen in his books could have happened in our world but didn’t thanks to his literary prowess. What Steven King is doing is capturing evil entities before they get to carry out their plans. He is binding those entities to the pages of his books as he writes them. King is channeling their intentions into a story. All we see is a thriller but the reality of it is much darker. If he hd not captured the darkness in his books the world would have surly fallen by now.
That spooky feeling that you get you read his books or watch an adaptation, now you know why.
What If all horror authors are doing this though. What if they are the front lines against malevolent forces beyond our comprehension. The stories we read to give us a scare could have been reality if it wasn’t for these people. Thats a lot of “what ifs” to consider while you lie awake at night unable to sleep, especially now that your eyes have been opened!
In short, Steven King writes a lot of books. Some say it's because of money, but we all know the truth… the real truth. Now if you will excuse me, I have to filter out all of the excess fluoride from my water supply so the mind control chemicals in the chemtrails that the airplanes put out can’t effect me properly.
